Toossab library is
one of the main information resources in regard with dam construction,
irrigation and drainage, water supply, wastewater and water related science and
technology in Khorasan Province. This library contains above 19000 books,
catalogues, standards, papers, and technical documents that meets the demands
of all people interested in water works. Documents and resources of the library
are mainly professional tailored for supplying information and modern knowledge
as required by technical staff.
Using comprehensive library information software
of "Simorgh" a worldwide information database management scheme was
implemented for providing automated information services through a fast search
engine with a rapid response. In this way, it is now quite easy to gain access
to any book, contract, report, magazine, paper and other documents weather
Persian or English existing in the library by just using a PC or laptop. The most
significant aspect of this software is its online connectivity with other
libraries and information centers. Simorgh Software provides all facilities
required for recording, indexing, accessing to non textual resources like video
clips, audio visual material, and images or scanned version of all
documents. This accessibility can be
provided through intranet and internet as well.
